
Sayer dates are one of the most prominent dates in the world. They contain 75% sugar thus they are described as the sweetest dates in the world. Sayer date have less than 16% moister so they are semidried and durable and easy to keep and do not show any contamination after two years.
Sayer dates are grown exclusively in Khouzestan province in Iran and they are locally known as “Stamaran dates”. These dates are soft, large and dried with light brown color. Date’s pit in this kind of date has very little adhesion to its flesh and is easily separated.
